Local Children in Need 1st November.

Starring A-Jay and Willow an evening of Top Class entertainment. In the main bar starting at 8.00pm.Play-ur-cards-right.Raffle and Auction.
Thanks to all that have donated goods (including Saints tickets) for this event and to all that have sponsored the games.
Come along and enjoy the superb group Willow plus comedienne A Jay. May I remind members that all money raised goes to Local Children and not to the club. We ask you all to dig deep and give it your full support.

A Great North Run.

Peter Hackett (47 and a member of Kingsley Park WMC for 29 years) took part for the first time in this event to raise money for Leukaemia Research. His target was to reach the finish line, however to his astonishment and that of others, he finished in 2 hours and 36 minutes. Peter ran with three work colleagues from Northampton Borough Council (Wayne Marriott, Alan Smith and Wayne Barrett) and between them raised approximately £1000.
Peter would like to thank everyone who sponsored him and now that he has achieved what he thought was the impossible, would like to take the sponsorship to a bigger audience next year.

Club Rules.

Like me you were probably given a copy of the club rules when you joined the club. If like me you have been a member for over 30 years, you can’t remember where they are now. There have been many amendments over the years. And the price we have to pay for the booklets has spiralled, we have ran out of booklets but from November you will be able to read the rules on-line at: http://kingsleyparkwmc.blogspot.com/

Bus Saved.

The Committee has decided to keep our Mini Bus. To ensure it’s future. It is up to our members to use it more. During the winter months it is mostly used in the evenings by our games sections and to safely take our bar staff home. That means it is not being used during the day.
With Christmas sneaking up on us it has been suggested to me that it could be used for shopping trips. Could you get a party of friends together and hire the bus to visit one of the many large shopping centres? Milton Keynes, Brent Cross, The Lakeside? Or how about a trip to the Sunday Markets in London?
If any member wishes to make use of their bus, please get in touch with Barry.

Red Tooth Poker.

Our Redtooth Poker League is finally up and running. It is proving to be very popular. So popular that we have had to order extra tables. We have players signed up that have not played yet and we are getting more applicants every week. The new season starts 9th November, so come along on Tuesday evenings before 7-30pm and get yourself registered. Our early League leader as we go to press is Luke Borer who finished in first place three weeks in a row and now has 310 points. In joint second place are Lee Winters Jnr & Mark Knight with 230 points with Jenk Schwartz in forth place on 200 points. For an up-to-date league table visit.http://www.redtoothpoker.com/publeague.asp?venue=1843
